The 2008 Faculty Conference on

Teaching, Research and Creativity

April 10, 2008

 Call for Proposals

You are invited to submit a proposal for Southeastern's annual Faculty Conference on Teaching, Research, and Creativity! The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for sharing the successful practices, projects, creative endeavors, and research of our faculty. Many of you have received support from the Center through Teaching Enhancement Grants, CITI grants, Faculty Development grants, Travel grants, etc. Here's your opportunity to give back!

This year, the conference format will be poster sessions. We invite posters that focus on all aspects of university teaching and scholarship. We welcome posters that emphasize innovative approaches to teaching, student engagement, interactive learning strategies, creative uses of technology, scholarship activity, research findings, artistic expression, and exemplary practices.

* Posters will be displayed Thursday, April 10, 12:30 - 2:30.
* Posters should fit within a 2 ft x 6 ft display area.
* Presenters are encouraged to bring their own display boards, but a limited number of poster boards are available at the Center.
* Presenters should be available for at least 1 hour between 12:30 and 2:30. Leave a message on your board detailing the hours you plan to be at your presentation. You may also want to leave a note on your poster board as to where you can be reached in case someone wishes to discuss your research further.
